Our Pub Garden and Paddock
We are fortunate to have lovely garden areas to sit, chat, eat and drink. We have areas where you can sit in the brilliant sunshine or if you prefer in the cool and shade. Our green fingered staff and local nurseries ensure we have lots of lovely flowering tubs, baskets and colourful borders.
The River Lym runs alongside and through our garden and we have a low wooden footbridge over the river into our paddock. The soothing sound of The River Lym makes our garden and patio area a relaxing place to sit and enjoy a drink or meal with your family and friends, we often have ducks swimming past and plenty of wild birds in and out of the trees lining the river edge.
We are very happy to serve breakfast to our residents who choose to sit and enjoy the start to their day out in the fresh air on our patio.
Paddock
Our paddock is a great open space where we have had many a successful Beer Festival, amazing family and village parties and even elaborate Marquees where we have been privileged to cater for the Wedding Receptions of many local couples and couples from afar who just love what we are able to offer here at The Talbot.
We also have a pretty seating area alongside the front of the pub which is helpful for customers who may not be able to make the steps from the car park and side entrance of the pub down into the garden.
Sat proudly in our garden is the Red Telephone Box that for many years sat opposite the pub and was used in our village. We are very pleased that we were able to re home this piece of village history here at the pub.
Covid Distancing
June 2020 Update: As you can see from the photographs below, we have been making socially distant areas in our paddock and garden ready for reopening after the lockdown period.
