Unfortunately due to current circumstances, we have had to make the difficult decision to remove Sky and BT sports from the pub. We will review this after Christmas depending on COVID 19 restrictions.
In the Pub we show both Sky Sports and BT Sports channels. We have 3 large screens enabling us to show different games and matches at the same time in different areas of the Pub.
We enjoy great afternoons of Premier League coverage with all the usual banter! We have enjoyed great events throughout European and World Cup Football games.
We are a Pub full of enthusiastic and vociferous supporters of all Six Nations Rugby matches, with an in house divide of loyalties towards different nations! In the past we have had great times and big breakfasts at the pub during The Rugby World Cup and British Lions Tours.
At the Talbot we enjoy showing all types of sports including the excitement of Wimbledon, Cricket, Golf, Horse Racing and Darts.
You will always have a warm welcome to watch your favourite sport at The Talbot Arms. We will try to accommodate your choices of sport whenever possible.
Pool, Darts, Cribb and Cricket
Unfortunately at this moment in time, due to COVID 19, we have had to remove our pool table and we no longer accommodate for darts within the pub. We hope this won’t be forever.
We have a full sized Pool Table and a Dart Board which visitors to the Pub are welcome to use.
At The Talbot Arms we have 2 Pool teams, 3 Darts teams and a Cribb team. All our teams compete against other pubs in local leagues.
During the Cricket season we have a Pub Cricket Team, we enjoy fixtures against other local Pubs, Breweries and other various teams who think they can beat us!
Sponsorship
We sponsor the Local Village Football Team, Uplyme FC. We also support other local community sports clubs such as the Lyme Regis Gig Club and The Wessex Ridgeway Runners.
